Subang Jaya, colloquially known as Subang, is a city in the Klang Valley of Selangor, Malaysia. Subang Jaya is the fifth most populous city in Malaysia and is bordered by Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, and Puchong. The city has developed into a hub with plenty of attractions due to the city’s self-sustainability. Due to this, the city acts as a hotspot for development. The mall culture of Subang is unrivalled with places like Subang Parade, Empire Subang, and Sunway Pyramid. Located in the Subang city centre, the malls act as one of the largest attractions of the city. The city is also home to the famous Sunway Lagoon, a water theme park that serves as a tourist hotspot. The commercial district of SS15 has been designed as the central entertainment and business area. The MSBJ stadium mainly serves as a football field and is home to Subang United F.C. It also offers a large running track. Kompleks 3C MPSJ houses the Hypermedia library, a petting zoo, and an art gallery. Subang Jaya is an athlete’s dream come true due to the large number of indoor soccer fields, squash, badminton and tennis courts, as well as golf clubs.


Subang Jaya is a hub for higher education. It is home to over 30 international schools and a number of private and international universities. The most prominent of these are Monash University, Taylor’s University, Sunway University, and SEGI.

Subang Jaya is a commercially successful region that keeps evolving to fit the needs of a young Malaysia. It is a well developed and well established area that is home to multiple malls and offers a wide variety of activities. What used to be a discontinued rubber estate is now a hub of trade and commerce, one that will continue to grow and gentrify in the coming years.
